SaskTel IPTV

Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel) is an incumbent operator owned by the Province of Saskatchewan in Canada, and since 30 Jun 2000 has been regulated by the CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission). In 1996, it became the first to offer high-speed Internet via DSL in North America. It also pioneered IPTV, with the Max TV service launching in September 2002.

On 5 September 2007, SaskTel launched a Digital TV Recorder for its Max Entertainment Services customers at an additional price.

By the end of 2011, SaskTel had 95,000 subscribers for its IPTV service.
