Telefonica de Espana

Telefonica de Espana is the incumbent telecom operator in Spain. It conducted TV over ADSL (Imagenio) trials, with around 700 residents in April 2003, after which it launched this service in Barcelona, Madrid and Alicante in the beginning of 2004. By the end of March 2008 Telefonica had over 550,000 pay TV clients.

In Q3 2007, Telefonica announced its 4-year EUR 9 billion investment plan (2006-09) to develop its fixed access network, expand 3G mobile networks and develop new services, systems and platforms.
