Charter Communications VoIP

Charter Communications is a US-based cable operator, offering cable TV, high-speed internet access, telephony and video-on-demand services. It offers services in 40 states of the US. During 2002, Charter invested approximately USD 3.5 billion to upgrade its broadband networks throughout the country.

In 2004, Charter introduced VoIP services in Midwest and Great Lakes followed by the regions of Inland Empire and High Desert, CA in October 2005.

On 22 October 2010, Charter Communications completed the sale of cable systems covering around 65,000 subscribers to Cobridge Communications. Hoping to consolidate its business in fewer areas, Charter will no longer serve Arkansas or Ohio.
