Comcast VoIP

Comcast is a US based Telecommunications Company and is involved in the development, management and operation of broadband cable networks. The company is also an electronic retailer and operates television channels. Comcast was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1963. On 18 Nov 2002, it bought AT&T Broadband to form the Comcast Corporation.

In early 2004, Comcast started conducting its residential VoIP trials in Philadelphia, Indianapolis and Springfield. The development of the network was gradually initiated in 2004, and 50 per cent of VoIP network was developed in 2005. Comcast increased its VoIP subscriber base from 25,000 at the end of June 2005 to 9.3 million at the end of 2011.
