Covad

Covad is an ISP in the US offering high-speed Internet and network access through DSL, T1 managed security, IP and dial-up services. It also offers bundled voice and data services to small and medium-sized businesses either directly through its network or through ISPs, value-added resellers, telecommunications carriers and affinity groups. Covad broadband and VoIP services are currently available in 44 states and 235 major markets.

On 28 October 2007, Covad Communications signed an agreement with Platinum Equity to be acquired by the latter. The deal was closed on 15 April 2008, when Platinum Equity acquired Covad Communications for USD 470 million.
