Embratel VoIP

Embratel offers complete telecommunications solutions including local telephony, long distance domestic and international calls, TV and internet access via satellite. Embratel has the largest telecommunications network in Brazil.

In 2005, Embratel acquired a 37.1 per cent stake in NET Servicos, the biggest pay TV operator in Latin America. The move enabled Embratel to offer a new alternative competitive telephony service – NET Fone via Embratel - over NET’s cable network. The service was launched in March 2006, and Embratel closed 2006 with 181,900 subscribers. The new product, aimed at the residential market, marked the entry of NET into triple play market.
