Rogers Telecom

Rogers Telecom is the new name adopted by Sprint Canada following the acquisition of Sprint Canada by Rogers Communication in July 2005. Following the acquisition of Sprint Canada, Rogers renamed its Rogers Cable division as Rogers Cable and Telecom division, merging Sprint Canada completely into RCI. However, as per the agreed terms and conditions, Rogers continued honouring the services, tariffs and the discount deals offered by Sprint Canada and the new entity will continue providing additional services such as ‘Rogers Cable TV’, ‘Rogers Yahoo! Hi-Speed Internet’ and ‘Rogers Wireless’ services to the business customers of Sprint Canada.

On 3 July 2007, Rogers Communications Inc. completed the intra-company amalgamation of RCI and its wholly owned subsidiaries Rogers Cable Inc. and Rogers Wireless Inc., which was announced on May 14, 2007.
