Telus

Telus is an incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC), which is offering local, long distance, data, Internet and other services to residential and business customers of Western Canada and Eastern Quebec.

Telus merged with British Columbia’s BCTel in 1999. At the end of June 2003, Verizon had a 21.1 percent stake in the operator. It later sold this stake in December 2004 in order to invest in new services.
