Telefónica O2 Czech Republic was formed on 1 July 2006 when the Czech incumbent Cesky Telecom merged with the leading mobile Czech operator Eurotel Praha.

Telefónica O2 Czech Republic operates the largest fixed and mobile networks in the country, including a unique 3G, CDMA and UMTS networks, enabling the transport of voice, data and video. Telefónica O2 Czech Republic also runs the largest network of WiFi hotspots in the country.
