Charter Communications is a US-based cable operator, offering cable TV, high-speed Internet access, telephony and video-on-demand services in 40 US states.

In October 2007, Charter Communications announced the launch of its high-speed Internet, digital cable and telephone services in over 700 Wal-Mart stores nationally.

On 24 June 2011, Charter announced plans to acquire cable television systems from US Cable of Coastal Texas. The acquisition will give the operator access to 25 new counties in Missouri as well as existing customers in the region.
