It is also an electronic retailer and operates television channels. Comcast was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1969. On 18 November 2002, it bought AT&T Broadband to form the Comcast Corporation. On 11 April 2007, Comcast announced its plan to acquire Fandango to increase the entertainment options for its customers. Fandango, an entertainment site for movie information, will be re-launched as Fancast.com with enhanced features accessible through many devices and channels. On 3 December 2009, Comcast and GE entered into a joint venture creating an entertainment company wherein Comcast would own a 51 per cent stake and GE would have a 49 per cent stake. As part of the deal, GE will contribute NBCU businesses to the joint venture while Comcast will contribute its cable networks worth USD 7.25 billion and cash worth USD 6.5 billion.
