BroadBand User Service - UKPlus EclipseEclipse Internet is an ISP which now focuses mainly on the business sector. In September 2004, it was acquired by the Kingston Communications Group for GBP 12.5 million and is now the group's main ISP brand outside the Kingston-upon-Hull service area. Eclipse offers Internet connectivity and services to businesses of any size, including broadband (SDSL, ADSL and leased lines), managed server hosting, website hosting, ASP, firewalls, virus protection and VPNs in the UK. Eclipse has also maintained a considerable number of residential customers. Eclipse began transferring customers to LLU in 2006, and by September 2007 about 45 per cent of the Kingston Group's off-net customers were being served in this way. These 51,000 customers are supplied over wholesaled LLU, believed to be provided at least partly by Tiscali. On 19 February 2010, Eclipse announced its entry into the fibre broadband market by launching two new business products based on BT's fibre-to-the-cabinet (FTTC) technology. The operator planned to start offering its fibre products from 12 April 2010. 'Eclipse Fibre' and 'Eclipse Fibre Pro' are now available to business customers.
