Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota (ETB) is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Colombia offering local telephony, long distance, Internet and data services. ETB has strengthened its presence in the telecommunications sector, especially since 2003, when it decided to start trading its shares on the Bogota stock exchange.

The Capital District of Bogota owns an 86.6 per cent stake in ETB, while private investors own the rest of the shares.

In July 2009, ETB started the process of searching for a strategic partner in exchange for a controlling stake in the company. In September 2010, the process was abandoned. The privatisation effort was renewed in March 2011 and eventually abandoned again in summer 2011.
