Fastweb is a broadband telecommunications services provider with operations in Italy. Fastweb merged with e.Biscom in December 2004. The operator offers its telephony, video and Internet services over FTTP (Fibre-To-The-Premises) in some areas, as well as DSL lines.

In May 2007, Swisscom acquired an 82 per cent stake in Fastweb. It is anticipated that the new owner’s strategy will focus on further network expansion and improving IPTV services.

In October 2007, the operator announced plans to invest more than EUR 2 billion over the next four years in the deployment of its next generation network.
