Operator Source 29 Mar 2012ForthnetForthnet is a telecommunications operator offering telephony and Internet services to residential and business users in Greece. Established in 1995, Forthnet launched its DSL services in June 2003. The company's shareholders include Forgendo with a 41 per cent stake, the Stichting Pension Funds with 14.3 per cent, the Cyrte Investments with 10.3 per cent and other investors. In July 2007 the company announced two major events. Firstly, Forthnet launched broadband services with 24 Mbps speeds based on ADSL2+ technology. Secondly, Forthnet announced plans to invest EUR 108 million in the expansion and development of its broadband infrastructure as part of its investment plan for the period 2006 - 2009. Following the acquisition of Nova, Greece's biggest pay TV operator, in summer 2009, Forthnet launched triple play packages including a satellite based Nova TV service.
