29 Mar 2012GTD Manquehue

GTD Manquehue is the largest Pay TV operator in Latin America offering pay television and pay-per-view programming. The operator also offers high-speed cable Internet services and launched its digital TV service in late 2004.

GTD Manquehue was formed in 2005, after Grupo GTD acquired Manquehue Enterprises to enter into the residential services market. The operator was the first Chilean company to pioneer FTTH in December 2006 when it launched a Passive Optical Network (PON) in Santiago. In Q208, the operator launched FTTH services with speeds up to 100 Mbps.

At the end of 2011, Grupo GTD announced plans to merge with Entel but the merger was called off in January 2012.
