The company currently owns and operates the largest fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) network in Hong Kong. In October 2006, HGC and TeliaSonera announced the joint establishment of a Gigabit Ethernet network between Hong Kong and the US. TeliaSonera set up its first point of presence (“PoP”) in Hong Kong giving Asian customers the ability to connect locally to Europe’s largest and fastest growing IP-backbone AS1299. In July 2010, HTHKH rebranded the group's residential fixed broadband and telephony services under the ‘3’ umbrella. FTTB broadband access services offered by HGC are now marketed using the ‘3 Fixed Broadband’ and ‘3ree Broadband’ brands.
