Hong Kong Broadband Network (HKBN) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of City Telecom H.K. Limited (CTI). On 28 February 2007, HKBN announced that it will be investing HKD 50 million in the development of over 1,000 WiFi broadband hotspots in a number of densely populated areas all over Hong Kong.

At the end of 2008, HKBN became the second largest broadband service provider in Hong Kong with about 20 per cent market share, having overtaken HGC. In April 2010, HKBN launched its 1/1 Gbps FTTH broadband service.
