Koç.net is a subsidiary of Koç Group, the largest conglomerate of Turkey, and operates as a managed services provider since 1996 where the official establishment is 2000. As of 2004, after the liberalization of Turkish voice market, Koç.net also began its operations in alternative operator field (international and domestic long distance) and as of today the company provides a wide range of data and voice services ranging from security management and operation of application servers to ASP, hosting, video conferencing and VoIP services to a variety of customers.

The Koc.net backbone covers 80 percent of the population with 29 widespread backbone nodes all over Turkey. These nodes are placed in the cities: Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Adana, Antalya, Trabzon, Samsun, Denizli, Mugla, Tekirdag, Izmit (Kocaeli), Eskisehir, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Elazig and Diyarbakir, creating 90 percent of the GDP.
