Despite a slow start the telecoms market in Luxembourg picked up during 2005 and 2006. However, competition within the ADSL market has remained minimal. In 2007, there were a number of download speed upgrades by cable operators that left the incumbent’s recent ADSL2+ development under pressure. In spite of this recent competition, Luxembourg's residential and business broadband segment continues to be dominated by the incumbent P&T Luxembourg (P&T).
