Maxcom Telecomunicaciones, S.A. de C.V. is a facilities-based telecommunications provider based in Mexico City. The telco first launched commercial operations in May 1999 and is currently offering local, long distance, data, CATV and IP-based services in greater metropolitan Mexico City, Puebla, Queretaro and Toluca, and on a selected basis in several other cities in Mexico.

In March 2006, Maxcom acquired Grupo Telereunion, which enabled it to expand its network to an additional 480 km of fibre-optic rings, 4,300 km of backbone and 680 km of fibre-optic infrastructure in the Gulf region and local interconnection in 59 cities.

In September 2007, Maxcom announced its move into the mobile market via a reseller agreement with the telecoms regulator Cofetel. In August 2010, rumours emerged that Maxcom has been put up for sale.
