Mediacom is a US-based cable operator providing cable TV, digital TV, cable Internet and Video on Demand services to its customers in 23 states of the US. It offers cable Internet services in the southern, central and eastern parts of the US.

In November 2010, Mediacom entered into a definitive agreement with Rocco B. Commisso wherein the latter will acquire 100 per cent of the publicly traded shares of Mediacom. Following this, on 4 March 2011, Mediacom announced a merger transaction with Rocco B. Commisso through which the operator will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the latter. As a result of this, Mediacom became a private company and will not be releasing its financial information.
