Operator Source 19 Jan 2012MegaPathMegaPath is a US-based telecommunications provider offering a wide selection of broadband services, Virtual Private Networks, Voice over IP (VoIP) and security technologies to businesses of all sizes. Its range of Internet services includes T1, Bondedi-T1, Business Ethernet, DS-3, DSL, Cable, Satellite, and Wireless Broadband Internet access services. On 8 April 2011, MegaPath announced the sale of its subsidiary, Covad Wireless, to TelePacific Communications. This will allow it to focus on its main services - fully-managed voice security and connectivity services. Following this move, in October 2011 the operator re-branded its existing wholesale division, Covad Wholesale, as MegaPath Wholesale. The rebranding will enable the operator to integrate and offer a broader portfolio of network and cloud-based security offerings under one common brand. On 10 June 2010, Megapath announced plans to acquire Speakeasy.net’s US operations. The deal led to the creation of the first managed services local exchange carrier (MSLEC) with the capability to provide a full range of IP voice, security, VPN and Internet services nationwide.
