Maroc Telecom is a telecommunications provider which offers mobile, fixed telephony and Internet services in Morocco through its ISP Menara.
Vivendi Universal holds 51 per cent stake in Maroc Telecom and is responsible for managing its operations. The Moroccan government retained a 30 per cent stake in the company after it sold 4 per cent of the operator's capital to institutional investors in June 2007.
In November 2007, it was announced that Vivendi will acquire further 2 per cent of the share capital of Maroc Telecom increasing its stake from 51 per cent to 53 per cent.
