Maroc Telecom is a telecommunications provider which offers mobile, fixed telephony and Internet services in Morocco through its ISP Menara.
Vivendi Universal holds 51% stake in Maroc Telecom and is responsible for managing its operations. The Moroccan government retained a 30% stake in the company after it sold 4% of the operator's capital to institutional investors in June 2007.
In November 2007, it was announced that Vivendi will acquire further 2% of the share capital of Maroc Telecom increasing its stake from 51% to 53%.
