Optima Telekom entered the Croatian telecommunications market in 2007. The controlling 67.73 per cent stake in the company lies in the hands of Mr. Matthias Martic.

On the day of launch, Optima Telekom d.d. was the first alternative provider of fixed telephony services in the Republic of Croatia and is now the second largest fixed telecommunications operator in the Croatian market. The company provides telecommunication services over its own network based on IP technology in more than 100 Croatian towns.

The operator provides its private and business customers with a wide range of services including Internet, telephony and television. Its ADSL Internet service offers speeds ranging form 1 Mbps to 20 Mbps.
