OptusNet Cable (formerly Optus@Home) is an Internet subsidiary of Optus, the biggest alternative carrier in Australia. Its cable Internet service was launched in January 2000 and is currently available to users in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

In Q106 the operator acquired Reef Networks Ltd. for USD 93 million. This acquisition significantly increased its fibre-optic transmission capacity and saved the operator USD 120 million in lease payments over the following six years.

In January 2006 the operator bought close to 74 per cent of Virgin Mobile for USD 30 million. According to the terms of the sale, OptusNet will be able to use the Virgin Mobile brand for the next fifteen years.
