The company, formerly known as the Hong Kong Telephone Company, was renamed PCCW after the acquisition of Cable & Wireless HKT in 2000. The company has the biggest share in both the telephony and broadband markets in Hong Kong, offering a wide range of services through its subsidiaries and portals. These services include fixed-line telephony, ADSL broadband Internet (Netvigator), IPTV (Now TV) and its new cellular mobile service (PCCW mobile). As of Q4 2008, the company had a 60 per cent share of the broadband market. In December 2008, PCCW launched a high-speed fibre based bundle including HSDPA, 3G services, Wi-Fi services and HD TV.
