Operator Source 15 May 2012PT TelkomPT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (PT Telkom) is one of the largest telecommunications operators in Indonesia, with 51.19 per cent of shares owned by Indonesian Government and 48.81 per cent owned by the public. PT Telkom is the principal provider of fixed-line services in the country. The operator and its affiliated companies also provide fixed wireless, mobile, data and Internet, multimedia and network interconnection services. The broadband Internet services are available to both residential and business customers and range in speed from 256 Kbps to 3 Mbps. In February 2011, PT Telkom announced the launch of commercial IPTV and HDTV services. The company has already soft launched its IPTV service in Jakarta. In 2012, the company continued the development and roll-out of its fibre-optic network as a part of the "Nusantara Super Highway" project due to be completed in 2015. The company aims to invest over USD 300 million in the fibre optic network expansion projects in 2012.
