It offers a wide range of national and international Internet, data communication and cable television services in Qatar. The operator launched its BarQ ADSL services for residential subscribers in November 2002 and for business subscribers in 2004. In Q107 Qtel formed two important alliances in an attempt to strengthen its business interests in other regions. The first was with Singapore Technologies in January 2007 and the second was with Korea Telecom in March 2007. In Q110, Qtel announced major investment in the nationwide roll-out of its FTTH network. In Q311, the company launched commercial trials of its 100 Mbps Internet service. This was followed by residential FTTH based double play services in Q112. In Q411, Qtel announced the launch of a new major Long Term Evolution programme, which will deliver the fastest and largest 4G network in Qatar.
