In its early years RCP positioned itself as an ISP oriented to the academic sector and NGOs, but in 1994 it entered the mass market. RCP was the first operator in Peru to provide a satellite connection to the Internet, private data networks, websites, electronic newspapers, virtual stores, virtual training programmes and VoIP. To address the needs of the majority of the population unable to afford computers, RCP launched an innovative service - Internet access via Public Internet booths. RCP was also the first company in Peru to deploy an IP protocol network, enabling the convergence of data transmission, voice and video.
