Riksnet is a privately owned company which provides network and connection capabilities to institutions, SMEs and residential customers. The operator also offers broadband services to customers using existing local optical fibre networks.

Riksnet is situated in several towns in Sweden, with offices in Umeaa, Stockholm, Piteaa and Sundsvall. The cost of installing fibre networks can be quite high, so Riksnet has started a daughter company Riksnet Finans that advices customers on how to finance FTTx investments.
