State-run telecoms holding Svyazinvest was Dalsvyaz's majority shareholder. In 2010 the Russian government restructured Svyazinvest with one of its subsidiaries Rostelecom absorbing the other units. In June 2010, Dalsvyaz shareholders approved the company's merger with Rostelecom. From 1 April 2011, Dalsvyaz operates as Rostelecom's subsidiary Rostelecom Far East.
