Operator Source 29 Mar 2012SFRSFR is a mobile operator in France and the leading 3G/3G+ operator with the most advanced network. SFR was the first operator in France to launch a 3G network in November 2004 and a 3G+ network in May 2006. SFR is 56 per cent owned by Vivendi and 44 per cent owned by Vodafone. SFR owns 100 per cent of Tele2 France and since June 2008, 100 per cent of Neuf Cegetel. In Q408, Neuf Cegetel's fixed/broadband activities were re-branded under the SFR brand. In April 2011, Vodafone confirmed the sale of its 44 per cent stake in SFR to Vivendi for GBP 7 billion. At the end of 2011, SFR had a 25 per cent DSL market share.
