Shaw Communications is a Canadian communications company, providing broadband Internet, cable television and satellite services. The company had operations in the US and Canada, but sold off its US-based cable assets in February 2003.

In August 2008 Shaw Communications announced plans to acquire Campbell River Cable System from Campbell River TV Association (CRTV). The deal, valued at CAD 46 million, increased its customer base and presence in the Campbell River region.

Continuing with its organic growth strategy, in October 2010 Shaw acquired the over-the-air and speciality television businesses of Canwest Global Communications Corp. for CAD 2 billion.

On 1 September 2011, Shaw Communications announced plans to build a wireless broadband network in Canada.
