Established in February 2003, Suddenlink is a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Cequel Communications Holdings I, LLC, offering TV, Internet and telephony services to residential and business customers in the US. On 11 May 2010, Suddenlink completed the acquisition of Windjammer’s cable system.

On 29 November 2010, Suddenlink announced its plans to acquire NPG Cable, Inc., and its subsidiaries from News-Press & Gazette Co for a consideration of USD 350 million. The deal will add new markets and customers to the existing business of Suddenlink.
