Swisscom is the incumbent operator in Switzerland. It offers its DSL services through retail and wholesale channels. Its ISP BlueWin offers retail DSL services and Swisscom Fixnet Wholesale offers wholesale DSL services. On 29 October 2004, Swisscom announced the merger of Bluewin AG with Fixnet AG effective from 1 March 2005. The merger supports Fixnet’s Triple Play strategy, which offers telephony, Internet and television to its customers over a single access line.

In November 2006, Swisscom launched Bluewin TV - its new IPTV service. This service offers over 100 television channels, 70 radio channels, 500 films (on demand), live broadcast sports events and 30 Teleclub channels. The service is available for customers with a telephone line and broadband Internet access.
