Operator Source 2 Apr 2012T-2T-2 is a the second largest telecommunications provider in Slovenia established on 5 May 2004. The company launched first commercial telephone, television and broadband Internet access services over VDSL technology on 1 October 2005. After having made a massive investment in its own fibre-optic network roll-out, T-2 launched services based on FTTH technology on 1 May 2006. However, rapid construction and installation of the large fibre-optic network resulted in EUR 238 million worth of debts. On 27 February 2012, the Maribor Higher Court allowed debt restructuring plan to start under which T-2’s creditors would be repaid 44 per cent of their claims totalling around EUR 180 million by 2020. On 25 May 2011, Zvon Ena, the financial holding which had held a 95 per cent stake in T-2, failed to participate in the capital injection organised by T-2's debtors. As a result, it lost its ownership rights and the debtors took control of T-2's shares: Gratel and Lokainvest acquired 87 per cent and 12 per cent stakes in T-2 respectively. Zvon Ena had filed a lawsuit challenging the capital injection. T-2 offers Internet services with speeds of up to 60 Mbps on the unbundled VDSL network and up to 1 Gbps on its fibre-optic network.
