Tata Communications has also made significant investments in the telecom companies in South Africa, Nepal and Sri Lanka to strengthen its position in its target markets in Asia and Africa.

On 11 January 2011, Tata Communications reached a definitive agreement to acquire BitGravity. The acquisition will enhance Tata’s capabilities in CDN technology, enabling scalable, real-time video communications over the Internet.
