Tele2 Netherlands is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the Netherlands. The company started in 1997 in the Dutch telephony market. In 2005, Tele2 acquired the Dutch operations of Versatel Telecom International. Both operators agreed to provide services under the new brand name Tele2-Versatel. Two years later, in October 2007, Versatel changed its name to Tele2 Netherlands Holding BV. Through its network Tele2 provides telephony, Internet, television and data solutions for both residential and business clients.
