Telefonica Deutschland (TD) is a part of the Telefonica group of companies and an alternative IP carrier in Germany. It offers a wide range of telecommunication services such as VPN, integrated voice and data services, web hosting and cable TV services. It was formed after two ISPs, mediaWays and HighwayOne, merged in January 2003.

In August 2006, Telefonica S.A. merged with O2 Germany, and Telefonica Deutschland's business service unit merged with that of O2 Germany's to form O2 DSL. Telefonica Deutschland offers mobile data services, DSL and fixed network telephony.

Telefonica completed the acquisition of Hansenet, Telecom Italia's German broadband business, in February 2010. The acquisition makes Telefonica Deutschland the third largest player in the German market.
