Tesco

Tesco, founded in 1920, is the UK's biggest supermarket chain with a growing international presence. The company leverages its huge customer base to sell a variety of financial and other services besides groceries. The services branded as "Tesco telecoms" include fixed-line, mobile and internet phones as well as broadband and dial-up internet access, all marketed as "a straightforward approach to the world of telecoms."

The Tesco ISP built up and retains a substantial share of the dial-up market. It came fairly late to broadband, launching its service in September 2004 and offering a range of ADSL products with speeds of up to 2 Mbps.

In March 2010, Tesco relaunched its broadband and home phone bundles. Two packages, both of which offer speeds up to 20 Mbps, are now available; one offering broadband together with free evening and weekend calls, and the other offering broadband and free anytime calls.
