Time Warner Cable is a one of the largest US-based companies providing cable TV, high-speed Internet and Video-on-Demand (VOD) services in 27 states, mainly in the southern, eastern and south eastern parts of the USA.

In December 2007, Time Warner completed the sale of its cable systems in 4 towns in North Carolina to MI-Connection Communications systems for approximately USD 51 million.

On 13 June 2011, Time Warner Cable announced the acquisition of NewWave Communications for USD 260 million. The acquisition will expand the operator's customer base in Kentucky and western Tennessee. The deal was completed on 2 November 2011.
