UPC Romania currently operates under the UPC brand name and is a fully owned subsidiary of Liberty Global Inc. Prior to 2005, UnitedGlobalCom was the majority shareholder in UPC. In July 2005, Liberty Global acquired UnitedGlobalCom.

UPC Romania is the largest broadband cable operator in Romania operating in over 200 cities, including Bucharest. The operator is able to offer broadband to 70 per cent of homes passed and digital telephony services to 67 per cent.
