There were 0.23 million fixed broadband subscribers in Cyprus at the end of Q4 2013. The annual growth rate was 2.85% while population penetration had climbed to 19.79%.

The Cypriot fixed broadband market grew by 2.85% in 2013, well under the European growth rate for the same period. Growth has been erratic in Cyprus in recent years as penetration climbs towards 20%. There is scope for future growth but it will depend on investment along with advantageous service pricing to attract new consumers.

CYTA was the dominant force in Cypriot fixed broadband sector with a 66.7% share of the market at the end of 2013. Cablenet and Primetel were both gaining ground with market shares of 17.7% and 14.7% respectively.
