There were 1.73 million fixed broadband subscribers in Finland at the end of Q4 2013. The annual growth rate was 6.36% while population penetration had climbed to 31.87%.

The Finish fixed broadband market grew by 6.36% in 2013 which was above the European average. Population penetration stands at a healthy 31.87% which should allow steady but unspectacular growth in the next few years.

Elisa and Sonera are battling it out for the crown of largest ISP in Finland. Elisa had a market share of 33.1% at the end of 2013 while Sonera was close behind with 31.1%. DNA and Finnet are also significant players with market shares of 18.8% and 13.8% respectively.
