The United States fixed broadband market grew by 3.75% in 2013. The growth rate was lower than both the average for the local global region (Americas) and all other global regions for the same period.

United States ISP market shares

The US broadband market is fragmented with many operators being dominant in regions without having a national dominance. The largest operator at the end of 2013 was Comcast Cable with a total market share of 21.6%. AT & T and Time Warner were also significant players with market shares of 17.2% and 12.1% respectively.
