What is Global Broadband Statistics?

The Global Broadband Statistics database (GBS) is an online research tool containing fixed broadband subscriber numbers for more than 400 operators from 100 countries and IPTV subscriber numbers for 100 operators from 50 countries.

A new set of broadband and IPTV subscriber numbers is published every 3 months. We have comprehensive data going back to 2002, with data going as far back as 1998 in some instances.

How does it work?

Our team of researchers around the world gather information from company reports, press releases, regulatory and governmental papers as well as collecting information from our growing network of primary contacts.

The information is fed into our database and then subjected to a rigorous verification process before publication. Splits by technology, time, channel, re-sale and other broadband-specific variables allow you to access the most current, accurate and complete subscriber datasets available.
