Although the growth rate in the country has fallen in recent years, the relatively low population penetration suggests there is potential for healthy growth rates to continue in the future if investment is forthcoming.

Brazil ISP market shares
As is often the case in a country of vast land mass, the Brazilian fixed broadband market is not dominated by one operator. Several ISPs were vying for first place in the market share stakes at the end of 2013 with NET, Oi and Telefonica on 29%, 27.7% and 18.5% respectively.
