The South Korean fixed broadband market grew by 2.79% in 2013, below both the regional growth average for Asia and the growth rates for all other global regions. This low growth rate is to be expected in a mature market with a high penetration rate.
Korea Telecom dominates the fixed broadband market in South Korea with a market share of 43%. Other notable players are SK Telecom and LG Uplus who had market shares of 22.4% and 17% at the end of 2013.
